Accountant Opportunity Lending/Financial Services - CBD Location Up to $110KSuper Your new company A wellestablished nonbank commercial lender is seeking a capable Accountant to strengthen its finance and fund accounting function. This organisation specialises in first and second mortgage lending. With the business expanding across all divisions, this newly shaped role will support internal accounting, loan book reporting, and fund-related analysis. Youll work closely with the credit, operations, and senior leadership teams, reporting directly to the Associate Director. Your new role -Prepare monthly management reports, including P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow-Maintain the general ledger and complete bank, loan, and balance sheet reconciliations -Assist with audits, annual financial statements, BAS, GST, and tax requirements -Manage endtoend loan accounting (settlements, repayments, interest calculations, fees) -Maintain investor records and prepare statements, distributions, and fund/trust reporting -Monitor loan portfolio performance and support cash flow forecasting and budgeting -Provide financial analysis to support the credit team and senior management -Assist with process improvements, strengthening internal controls, and system enhancements -Perform ad hoc financial reporting and operational support as needed What you'll need to succeed -3 years experience in an accounting role-CA or CPA qualified, or working toward completion -Strong knowledge of accounting principles and reporting standards -Advanced Excel skills (modelling, complex formulas, reconciliations) -Experience in mortgage funds, nonbank lending, or financial services (highly desired) -Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical capability -Clear written and verbal communication skills -A proactive mindset with strong professional integrity What you'll get in return -Small, collaborative team with a friendly and supportive culture-Close interaction with senior leaders across lending, operations, and investor relations -Conveniently located office near Wynyard Station in a premium building with excellent views -Organisation is in a growth phase with longterm career progression available into a leadership role -Fulltime position preference is office based (flexibility offered based on individual needs) What you need to do now If you're interested in this role, click 'apply now' to forward an up-to-date copy of your CV. 2983150
