As the new Franchise Business and Property Manager, you will play a key role in delivering the growth and performance of the Dymocks franchise network. You will be responsible for driving franchise network expansion, managing strategic relationships with franchise partners and supporting the ongoing optimisation of our retail store portfolio. Working closely with the General Manager Retail, you will help identify new franchise opportunities, support franchise partner performance and oversee retail property matters across the network including lease negotiations, store openings and refurbishments. Reporting to the General Manager Retail, you will be responsible for: Leading the strategic expansion of the Dymocks franchise network by identifying and progressing new store opportunities aligned with the company’s retail and distribution strategy. Managing the recruitment, selection and onboarding of new franchise partners, ensuring appropriate due diligence and compliance with Australian franchising legislation. Developing strong relationships with franchise partners to support sustainable business performance and long-term network growth. Coordinating the Franchise Business Review process in partnership with the General Manager Retail and Regional Sales Managers to identify opportunities to improve sales, profitability and operational performance. Providing commercial insights and reporting to franchise partners to support informed decision making and ongoing business improvement. Supporting franchise partners with retail property matters including lease negotiations, lease renewals and managing critical lease dates. Building and maintaining strong relationships with landlords, shopping centre owners and leasing agents to support favourable commercial outcomes and identify new retail opportunities. Managing the delivery of new franchise store openings including site evaluation, project coordination and stakeholder management. Overseeing store refurbishment and upgrade projects to ensure alignment with Dymocks brand standards and network strategy. Partnering with the General Manager Retail and Legal to maintain the franchise compliance framework and ensure the network operates within regulatory requirements.
