About the Role We are seeking a Payroll Officer on a part-time basis to join our team located at our Kwinana Pigment Plant, approx. 35 minutes south of Perth. This position will be permanent, part-time , working an amazing 38-hour fortnight, worked across Thursday to Wednesday, one week on, one week off. You can also enjoy flexible start and finish times that best suit you. As our Payroll Officer you will report to the Payroll Supervisor and your key responsibilities will include: Responding to payroll-related employee enquiries that require initiative, organisation and sound independent judgement to investigate issues, identify root causes and deliver timely resolutions. Providing payroll administration support, process end-to-end payroll, and produce standard and ad hoc reports. Ensuring compliance with payroll legislation, including Fair Work, PAYG, Superannuation, and STP; and Calculating, validating, and reconciling the net value of employee overpayments (including allowances, deductions, PAYG, and superannuation impacts), and supporting with timely recovery in line with payroll policy. About You As a successful candidate for this role, you will demonstrate the following skills and experience: Proven experience in a busy payroll team with a strong focus on accuracy; Prior experience with Dayforce (highly advantageous); Prior experience with SAP (Success Factors) (highly advantageous); Strong interpersonal and communication skills; A strong and proven focus on internal and external customer service; Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills with previous experience producing payroll reports; Strong problem solving skills to investigate anomalies, issues and analyse data; and Flexibility to work up to 38-hours a week (full-time), for leave coverage and/or as and when required.
