As a Recruitment Officer, you will use strong communication skills and judgement to manage a range of moderately complex recruitment activities, while providing clear and timely support to managers and employees. You’ll work independently with clients to gather, review and assess information and resolve enquiries. You’ll also contribute to the development and maintenance of recruitment procedures, apply relevant legislation and policy and undertake operational and procedural tasks. This role requires fostering and maintaining positive client relationships, working collaboratively within the team while communicating effectively across a range of digital systems. As an Onboarding Officer, you will deliver accurate, compliant and timely employment outcomes for the ATO. You’ll apply established procedures to manage offers of employment for ongoing, non ongoing and casual candidates, including contract extensions, while ensuring all actions meet policy, procedural and delegation requirements. You’ll verify eligibility, documentation and mandatory checks to ensure every onboarding decision is accurate, defensible and auditable. You’ll also support the Merit Protection Commission by coordinating ATO promotion reviews, ensuring fairness, transparency and alignment with APS merit principles. You will work collaboratively within a team environment, communicate effectively with candidates and business areas, and contributes to maintaining high standards of service, accuracy and positive candidate experience across all onboarding activities. These roles may be offered on an ongoing or non-ongoing basis in Canberra, Dandenong, Hobart, Melbourne CBD or Parramatta.
