About the role The technical analyst supports the performance team by maintaining and validating investment data, creating performance database and new performance data feed. Other responsibilities include assisting in compiling and analysing performance results to feed reports and dashboards, creating new analytics and insights for investment team. The role involves working closely with Data and Engineering team, Front office team, as well as external technology suppliers and data providers to deliver accurate, complete, well governed performance data and reporting across a wide range of investments. This role will suit candidates with an eye for detail that possess hands-on technical experience with investment data processes and performance analysis calculations. This covers the following requirements; Experience with interpreting, manipulating and analysing data in relational databases using SQL to ensure data integrity, accuracy and completeness. Including interpreting existing SQL scripts, writing queries in SQL, writing scripts to draw out useful business insights including using PowerBI; Experience working within Azure ecosystem, SQL databases, function Apps, Data Factory, Logic Apps, and Databricks Knowledge and practical experience working with investment data at security level, i.e. holdings, transaction, corporate actions, T&Cs Experience with third party Investment systems such as Ortec PEARL, FactSet, BarraOne, Datastream, or Bloomberg.
