As a member of the Financial Accounting team, you'll help ensure the accuracy of the department's financial records by supporting sound accounting practices and meeting legislative and policy requirements. You'll prepare financial analysis, support statutory reporting, and represent the team in stakeholder discussions. The key duties of the position include This is where you play an important role. As an Accountant , your duties will include but are not limited to: assist with the month end processes, including accrual and journal reviews and monthly balance sheet reconciliation provide assistance with soft close and annual financial statements related notes assist with analysing annual stocktake results assist with preparing and analysing quarterly work-in-progress reviews representation at finance related meetings with internal and external stakeholders prepare monthly financial reports for submission to the Department of Finance.
