This role will encompass business development and a strong local network is essential. The right candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, providing design and thought leadership to clients, the industry, and the studio as a whole. Lead staff, project teams, and colleagues in delivering high-quality projects. Key Responsibilities Meet or exceed agreed revenue targets to grow the business and profit; Build and sustain positive relationships with current clients and secure repeat business; Create new relationships with key partners and potential clients, win new projects; Lead the preparation of submissions and deliver presentations and pitches for new projects; Business Development: Assist in developing overall BD Strategy; Understand current and potential future service offering in the context of changing markets; and Consider emerging trends and identify business development opportunities. Publish and promote outcomes from built projects by: participating in industry networks and events; producing or partner to produce and publish research; publish feature or media articles; seeking industry or peer awards and recognition; and Social Media Influence Principals are experts in their sector and this knowledge is to be used internally to upskill personnel and externally to position the practice as a leader in the sector by: Thought leadership articles / interviews / presentations; Client pitches / value adding; and Lead and facilitate our growth of knowledge about current best-practice and relevant emerging local and global trends. Develop relationships that provide industry intelligence with clients, partners and industry networks; Support and foster a design culture across the studio through contributions to: Design reviews, passion pitches, peanut galleries; Building tours of completed projects and other design exemplars; Using Pin-up walls, visualisations and augmented reality; and Post-construction reviews and lessons learned. Collaborate with other Studios, Principals and Teams to facilitate quality outcomes across the practice and harness opportunities across sectors and geographical areas; Be accountable for your performance, behaviour, and the performance of your project portfolio; Consistently review your project portfolio, its profitability and client satisfaction; Prepare and update Projections, Pipeline and CRM Follow the bid process and provide feedback to the team preparing submissions/bids/tenders Show a commitment to high quality client service.
