Overview We are partnering with a respected workplace and retail fit out company to appoint a Marketing & Business Development Manager. This is a senior, client facing role created at a pivotal moment for the business. The company is in a significant growth phase, undergoing a brand refresh. They are strategically shifting away from residential work to focus solely on commercial, retail and workplace fit outs. The successful candidate will join a small, tight knit team, working closely with the Director while operating with a high degree of autonomy. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being out in the market, building trusted relationships, and driving commercial momentum. While marketing oversight is part of the remit, the primary objective is pipeline generation. Roles and Responsibilities Business Development & Lead Generation Proactively generate new business opportunities and expand existing relationships through targeted outreach, in person engagement and consistent follow up. Build a strong network across leasing agents, property managers, consultants and client side stakeholders. Maintain a structured CRM and pipeline using internal systems (Excel, HubSpot), ensuring visibility and discipline across all stages of pursuit. Represent the business at industry events, networking functions and client engagements, often as the sole representative. Prioritise pipeline creation as the core measure of success in this role. Marketing & Brand Management Manage social media channels and external communications in line with the evolving brand tone, voice and visual direction as the company moves through its rebrand. Lead the marketing strategy with a focus on amplifying completed projects, strengthening market presence and supporting business development activity. Coordinate project photoshoots, including briefing, styling and asset selection to support the refreshed brand identity. Oversee website updates and content, working with external consultants as needed. Ensure brand consistency across all touchpoints during a period of strategic repositioning. Tenders & Client Presentations Coordinate and format bid submissions and tender documentation (technical content provided by project teams). Liaise with external designers, consultants and contractors during tender phases to support the wider project team. Act as the primary client liaison during pre construction, ensuring clarity, alignment and strong communication. Prepare and present capability materials, look and feel packs and tender submissions alongside the Director. Client & Director Support Maintain ongoing client engagement, follow up and relationship management to support long term partnerships. Support internal systems, shared documentation and pre construction workflows. Provide high level, trusted support to the Director, often working independently to progress priorities. Operate as an autonomous extension of the leadership team, comfortable working alone for significant portions of the week. Skills and Experience Essential Strong capability across the Microsoft Office Suite. Experience using social media scheduling platforms. CRM experience (HubSpot ideal). Confident in face-to-face business development and relationship building. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Highly organised, self motivated and comfortable working autonomously in a small team environment. Commercially minded with a natural ability to identify and nurture opportunities. Desired Exposure to commercial property, workplace or retail fit out environments. Familiarity with construction, architecture or design industries. Experience with Adobe Creative Suite. Experience coordinating or formatting bid submissions. Experience supporting a business through a rebrand or market repositioning.
