Overview : Kangaroo Point Medical Centre is a GP Medical Centre with General and Specialised medical practitioners providing the latest evidence-based solutions for your medical problems. We are located in the heart of Brisbane, Just meters away from the iconic Story Bridge in Shafston Avenue. We are looking for an ICT Support Technician to join the team! In this role, you will be responsible for the deployment, maintenance and ongoing operation of the organisation’s IT infrastructure and systems across multiple healthcare-related business units. This is a full-time ongoing position, based in Kangaroo Point, QLD. Main tasks : Clinical Systems and Operational Support -Provide technical support for clinical and administrative IT systems used across the organisation, prioritising incidents based on operational impact. -Maintain and administer BP Premier practice management systems and associated healthcare applications. -Provide technical support and system maintenance aligned with healthcare operational and accreditation requirements. -Support IT operations across multiple associated healthcare services within the organisation. Infrastructure, Network and System Reliability -Install, configure and maintain server environments and IT infrastructure supporting business operations. -Maintain network infrastructure including switches, connectivity and internal cabling. -Diagnose and resolve network and system issues affecting performance, availability and end-user access. -Implement and maintain backup procedures, data protection protocols and disaster recovery readiness. -Monitor system health and assist in maintaining operational stability across critical systems. Systems Administration and Data Handling -Manage user accounts, system permissions and access controls across organisational systems following security and least-privilege principles. -Provide application support and assist with system configuration and updates. -Support database environments and assist with data migration, validation and system integrations where required. -Ensure efficient use of applications and systems used within the organisation. Web Systems, Telecommunications and Vendor Coordination -Maintain and administer company websites and associated hosting platforms, ensuring availability and functionality. -Administer and maintain the clinic’s telecommunications systems, including VoIP services, phone routing, extensions and call management infrastructure. -Coordinate with external IT vendors, software providers and technical service partners for system maintenance, troubleshooting and issue escalation. -Assist with system onboarding, configuration and integration of external software platforms when required. Documentation and Continuous Improvement -Maintain documentation related to IT systems, infrastructure, operational procedures and internal technical guidelines. -Assist with the implementation and improvement of internal IT processes, system monitoring and operational reporting tools. -Support the development of structured technical procedures to ensure operational continuity and knowledge transfer. Required/Relevant Qualifications & Work Experience : -Diploma in relevant qualification plus minimum 1 year’ relevant work experience in the last 5 years. -3 years’ relevant work experience may substitute the formal qualification. Required/Relevant Skills & Knowledge : -Demonstrated experience supporting IT infrastructure, server environments and network systems beyond basic desktop or endpoint-only support. -Strong troubleshooting and technical diagnostic skills across hardware, software and network issues in a business-critical environment. -Experience administering user accounts, permissions and access controls across organisational systems. -Experience supporting application environments and maintaining operational system stability. -Ability to coordinate with vendors and support multiple IT systems across different operational environments. -Relevant qualifications in Information Technology or equivalent practical experience in systems support environments. Annual salary will be between $75,000.00 to $85,000.00 (plus superannuation) depending on level of experience. Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
