Our winery restaurant located in Orange NSW is seeking a qualified and experienced Chef and Cook to join our team. The successful applicant will be responsible for maintaining high culinary standards and overseeing kitchen operations. Position 1: Chef Key Responsibilities Plan, prepare, and cook a variety of dishes in accordance with the restaurant’s menu and quality standards. Supervise daily kitchen operations to ensure consistency, efficiency, and food quality. Assist with menu planning, including seasonal menu updates, while maintaining cost control. Monitor food quality at all stages of preparation and presentation. Manage stock control, including inventory management, stock rotation, and minimisation of food wastage. Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and workplace health and safety regulations. Train and supervise cooks and kitchen assistants to ensure smooth kitchen operations. Ensure proper use and maintenance of kitchen equipment. Position 2: Cook Key Responsibilities Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and established standards Assist with food preparation including cutting, marinating and portioning ingredients Monitor cooking times and temperatures to ensure food quality and safety Maintain food quality, presentation and portion control Ensure proper food storage and compliance with food safety regulations Assist with stock rotation and minimise food wastage Maintain cleanliness of kitchen workstations, utensils and equipment Work collaboratively with kitchen staff during service periods Follow instructions from the Chef and support daily kitchen operations
