Purpose of the Role BGIS is seeking a Facilities Manager to support the smooth and efficient running of a high-profile government building in Sydney’s CBD, along with a portfolio of remote managed sites. Reporting to the Operations Manager, this client-facing role will see you working closely with senior executives, service partners, and BGIS colleagues to provide a welcoming, reliable, and professional facilities service. This role is well suited to someone who values collaboration, enjoys building relationships, and can work independently while knowing when to seek support. Key Responsibilities Coordinate day-to-day facilities operations at a flagship CBD site Support maintenance, compliance, and service delivery across base building and remote properties Be the primary on-site contact for client executives, providing friendly, solution-focused support Collaborate with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure smooth and timely services Monitor budgets and reporting, with guidance from the Account Manager Look for opportunities to make processes easier and more effective for clients and colleagues Ensure compliance with WHS, environmental, and contractual obligations Education, Experience & Skills Essential: Experience in facilities management, property services, or a related field A customer-focused approach with excellent communication skills Ability to work independently while staying connected with the wider team Comfortable using Microsoft Office Suite and CMMS systems Australian Citizenship or Permanent Residency (mandatory client requirement) Desirable: Trade qualification or equivalent background Experience working in government or secure environments Strong customer service background Workplace Flexibility This role is based in Sydney CBD, close to transport links and a short walk from Circular Quay.
