OVERVIEW: Salary : $115,000 Superannuation Flexibility/WFH: 3:2 Industry : Education Role Focus: Financial Accounting & Revenue Recognition The Opportunity This is one of those roles that will appeal to accountants who like genuine ownership, real breadth and a little more complexity than a standard finance position. Our client operates in the education sector, in a fast-paced, detail-led environment where accuracy matters, deadlines matter, and finance plays an important role in supporting both the student journey and the broader operation. There is a strong mix here of financial control, reporting discipline, stakeholder engagement and process improvement, all within an organisation of real scale and substance. For the right person, this is an opportunity to step into a role where you are not simply processing transactions. You will sit close to a key revenue stream, working across reconciliations, reporting, controls and operational finance activity linked to a high-volume student-facing environment, while also helping improve processes and strengthen the overall quality of output. It is the kind of role that can sharpen your technical skill set while broadening your commercial exposure. Role Profile Own a broad range of accounting responsibilities within a high-volume education environment Manage financial transactions accurately and maintain strong control across receivables and student finance-related activity Prepare reconciliations, journals and month-end reporting to support timely and reliable financial outcomes Investigate discrepancies, resolve issues and ensure the integrity of underlying finance data across multiple processes and systems Partner with internal stakeholders to address queries, improve workflow and keep financial information moving cleanly across the business Support stronger controls, better reporting discipline and ongoing process improvement Develop a genuine understanding of the operational flow behind the numbers, not just the accounting entries Successful Candidate Profile CA or CPA qualified, or well progressed, with a solid grounding in financial accounting Strong experience across reconciliations, reporting, transactional accounting and month-end processes Comfortable operating in environments with volume, complexity and a clear need for accuracy and accountability Experience in education will be highly regarded, as will backgrounds in similarly process-heavy, service-led or regulated sectors Strong Excel skills, good systems confidence and the ability to work carefully through detail Organised, dependable and methodical, with a mindset geared towards quality and follow-through Comfortable investigating issues, asking the right questions and working constructively with stakeholders Keen to build both technical depth and broader operational understanding in a well-rounded finance role Apply Now If you meet the key criteria and believe you're a strong fit for the role, please apply now or contact Liam Hassell at Recruitment Labs on for a confidential discussion.
