We are seeking a Production Supervisor / Leading Hand to join a well-established national organisation that is a leader in hydraulic and industrial hose solutions. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on trade professional looking to step into a leadership role , with clear career progression into an Operations Manager position . Working with Tier 1 OEM clients , you will play a key role in overseeing production operations, ensuring product quality, and delivering exceptional service to customers. The Role You will be responsible for supervising daily production activities and leading a team of approximately 10 production staff to ensure efficiency, quality, and timely delivery of customer orders. Working closely with the Production Planner and Operations Manager , you will coordinate workflow and ensure production targets are met while maintaining high quality standards. Key responsibilities include: Leading, supervising and motivating a team of 10 production employees Assigning tasks and overseeing daily production activities Working closely with the Production Planner and Operations Manager to deliver production schedules and customer orders Ensuring employees remain engaged while meeting daily production targets Maintaining accountability for the quality of products and processes and acting quickly to rectify any issues Assembly of hydraulic and industrial hoses when required Ensuring customer sales orders are completed accurately and delivered on time to meet high service standards About You To succeed in this role, you will bring strong technical capability combined with leadership potential. You will have: A relevant trade qualification (Fitter / Cert III Mechanical Trade or equivalent) Experience in manufacturing, fabrication, mechanical assembly or similar industrial environments An understanding of lean manufacturing processes Previous experience working with mining equipment (highly desirable) Intermediate to advanced computer skills , with the ability to analyse production data Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team The ability to multi-task and work to deadlines in a fast-paced environment Current C-Class driver’s licence and forklift licence (essential) Demonstrated leadership experience with a strong commitment to mentoring and supporting apprentices The Opportunity Join a national industry leader with strong market presence Work closely with Tier 1 OEM clients Full product training provided Clear career progression into an Operations Manager role Supportive environment for leadership development and career growth This position would suit an experienced Leading Hand or Senior Technician looking to take the next step into leadership , particularly from fabrication, mechanical, mining services, or industrial manufacturing backgrounds .
