We are currently looking for a Mine Closure Planner to join our Queensland based team to support our high performing team during a fantastic period of growth. As a Mine Closure Planner you’ll: Support advisory projects including closure risk assessments, closure governance frameworks, and rehabilitation strategies. Assist in the preparation of closure documentation, including mine rehabilitation and closure plans, closure risk assessments, and cost estimates for a range of mining, oil and gas, and resource projects. Get involved in small, medium and large closure studies nationally and internationally. Prepare high quality reports, undertake data reviews and gap analyses Work with technical specialists across WSP’s environmental, water, geotechnical and planning teams to integrate closure requirements into broader mine planning. Stay current with industry trends, innovations, and regulatory changes affecting mine closure. Assist in stakeholder engagement processes related to closure and post-mining land use. What you’ll bring: 2–5 years of relevant experience in mine planning, rehabilitation, closure, or environmental consulting. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Demonstrated ownership of your work. Excellent time management skills. An understanding of life-of-mine planning and its intersection with environmental and community outcomes.
