A rare opportunity for a Project Manager has become available (12 month fixed term contract), to contribute to the once in a lifetime energy transition, where you will deliver the plan, control and manage delivery of a business project over the full project lifecycle (design, build, test, deployment, embed) in order to meet agreed business needs through identifying and utilising the necessary resources and skills, within agreed parameters of safety, cost, schedule and quality. This role is part of our Lines Projects Delivery team within the Distribution line of business, and the role can be based out from Malvern and/or Southbank with a hybrid office/work approach. What you’ll be doing in this role: Lead, plan and manage the delivery of distribution-based initiatives/projects Ensure Project Management Plans including Project Schedules with deliverables, milestones and dates are agreed and signed off, and aligned to the business Project Management Plan and project schedule Support the development of business cases for funding approval Ensure risk management appetite is actively practiced in delivery of projects Participate in in-flight reviews and health checks of projects and make solid recommendations for actions Provide leadership, expertise and guidance to key stakeholders in project managing delivery of business/technology initiatives Establish and manage commercial contracts with product suppliers and delivery partners Effective project finalisation and handover to business as usual, with supporting training and documentation for sustainable delivery You don’t need to check every box, however we’re looking for a good combination of: Degree in Project Management/Business or equivalent technical qualifications or Certified Practicing Project Manager (CPPM) with AIPM Experience in Energy Distribution Networks, particularly in overhead and underground line construction (66kV & 22kV), maintenance, or upgrade programs or transmission/gas experience also beneficial Demonstrated ability to create, build and grow relationships and business partnerships to build effective working relationships within and across Divisions and with external customers, government, and the public Demonstrated ability to achieve targets to timelines, budget, quality, safety Full Driver’s license required The AusNet experience is all about… Growing your impact: We’ll support you to build your career through real opportunities and strong connections.
