Where you'll be working SESLHD is one of the largest local health districts in Sydney, covering a geographical area of 468 square kilometres from Sydney’s central business district, the beaches from Bondi to Cronulla and down to the Royal National Park. We deliver health care to around 930,000 residents across the local government areas of Woollahra, Waverley, Randwick, Bayside, Georges River and the Sutherland Shire. We also provide a key role in helping residents of Lord Howe Island. The role The Graduate Rotational Opportunities Program is an opportunity for a new graduate Occupational Therapist / Social Worker or Psychologist to gain experience in physical and mental health care settings within South Eastern Sydney Local Health District (SESLHD). Plan, coordinate and deliver high quality, evidence-based psychology / occupational therapy /or social work care to patients/clients consistent with South Eastern Sydney Local Health District (SESLHD) policies, procedures and standards. Selection Criteria Occupational Therapist and Social Workers must hold qualifications in accordance with Schedule C of the NSW Health Service Health Professionals (State) Award. Occupational Therapist must be registered with AHPRA, while Social Workers must be eligible for the Australian Association of Social Workers, and be within 12 months of graduation. And demonstrated commitment to continuing professional development. Psychologists require registration with AHPRA and to be within 12 months of graduation with provisional psychologist applicants requiring a recognised 4 year degree in Psychology and Clinical Psychology Registrars required to hold minimum two-year full-time equivalent Master degree of higher in Clinical Psychology. Demonstrated competency in the provision of evidence-based assessment, treatment, and evaluation of clinical outcomes for patients/clients. Demonstrated high level written and verbal skills, to both engage patients/clients and work effectively with the multi-disciplinary team. Demonstrated ability to exercise independent professional judgement and evidence-based practice, including designing and implementing treatment, commensurate with years of experience. Demonstrated commitment to the use and application of professional and clinical digital technologies. Commitment to participate in quality improvement processes and teaching, commensurate with years of experience. Ability to respond to the demands and pressures of the role while managing time effectively. Current drivers licence and a willingness to travel in accordance with the demands of the position.
