Description About the Role We are currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Financial Accountant to join our Brisbane Support Office team. Reporting to the Finance Manager, this role is ideal for an early-career accountant looking to further develop their technical skills within a supportive and growing organisation. You will play an important role in supporting the finance function across the Group, gaining exposure to month-end processes, financial reporting and accounts receivable activities. Working closely with the broader finance team, you will assist in maintaining accurate financial records, support key reporting cycles and contribute to continuous improvements across our finance systems and processes. This is a great opportunity for someone with a solid foundation in accounting who is looking to build their experience within a dynamic project-based environment. With purpose, respect and a driven mindset, you’ll contribute by: Assist with month-end tasks, including reconciliations and financial close activities. Support accounts receivable, including invoicing and following up on outstanding items. Help maintain the Fixed Asset Register and assist with tax prep (e.g., BAS, FBT). Contribute to weekly cash flow projections and reporting. Assist with system improvements and testing for finance processes. Provide general support to the finance team and collaborate on internal projects. Skills And Experiences Here’s what you’ll need to thrive in this role: A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, and working toward (or planning to start) CPA or CA qualifications. Around 2 years of experience in a financial or commercial accounting role. Experience within the construction, engineering or project based industry would be advantageous. Familiarity with financial systems (e.g., ERP like Jobpac) and strong Excel skills. Effective communication skills and a collaborative approach to working with teams. Attention to detail, a positive attitude, and a willingness to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment. Why Global Group?
