Lockeroom is seeking a suitably qualified and confident Sports Development Officer - Coaching Capability & Program Quality Lead to support the development, standardisation and rollout of structured performance programs across sites, while driving participation growth and maintaining high-quality delivery standards. This position is responsible for sports program development and coordination at an organisational level, including performance pathway design, program governance, coach capability frameworks, participation initiatives, stakeholder engagement, and program reporting. The role is distinct from day-to-day coaching positions and focuses on ensuring consistent program delivery and measurable outcomes across a growing business. Current Opening: This opportunity is a full-time position (38 hours per week). Position Responsibilities and Tasks Develop and maintain coaching capability standards and delivery frameworks to ensure consistent, high-quality program delivery across multiple sites, including requirements to support business expansion to additional locations. Create and implement structured coach onboarding and internal development modules (competency checklists, training plans and refresher modules) to uplift coaching capability as the business expands and additional coaching resources are introduced. Establish and maintain program quality assurance processes (delivery observations, feedback reviews and outcomes analysis) and implement corrective actions to protect program consistency. Develop, document and maintain structured sport and performance program frameworks (session templates, progressions, benchmarks and testing protocols). Coordinate standardisation and rollout of programs across locations, including delivery requirements, scheduling structures and resource planning to ensure consistent member experience across all locations. Implement and manage performance tracking and evaluation (testing schedules, participation metrics and progression KPIs) to demonstrate outcomes and guide continuous improvement as programs scale across sites. Design and refine participation pathways (entry to advanced) and participation strategies (clinics, workshops, challenges and pathway blocks) to increase engagement and progression. Support expansion-readiness by preparing program documentation, operational handover notes and coaching delivery guides to enable consistent implementation at current or expanding sites. Coordinate structured sport and performance participation programs for corporate groups, including program planning, delivery frameworks, scheduling coordination, stakeholder liaison and outcomes evaluation (excluding direct sales or membership selling duties). Ensure all programs comply with safety standards, risk controls and organisational policies, and maintain accurate documentation for standards, updates and continuous improvement actions across sites. Qualifications and Skills: Diploma (or higher) in Sport Development, Fitness, Sport & Recreation, Sport Science, Exercise Science, Physical Education, or related field. Minimum 1 year demonstrated experience in sports program development/coordination (e.g., performance pathway design, participation initiatives, program governance, or comparable sports development work). Proven ability to develop structured programs, progressions and measurable outcomes (KPIs/testing protocols/reporting). Strong stakeholder management skills, including coordination of coaches, internal teams and external partners. High-level organisational and communication skills, including ability to document program frameworks and deliver internal training resources. Ability to work across multiple sites, willingness to travel interstate, and adapt to business growth needs. Salary: The role offers a remuneration package of $80,000 - $90,000 per annum, plus superannuation for a 38-hour work week.
