About the role selectability is seeking a dedicated professional to join the team as a support coordinator, covering parental leave from 29 April 2026 to 29 April 2027. As a support coordinator, you will work closely with participants to navigate the NDIS and interpret their individual packages; it is your role to ensure they are getting the most out of their NDIS plans. The key responsibilities of a support coordinator include, but are not limited to: supporting and empowering participants to make their own choices as to how they want to lead their lives coordinating a variety of services for participants to support them to live fulfilling and meaningful lives within the community engage with and managing participants key stakeholders (including government agencies, community and clinical service providers and families), you will ensure that the supports and services are leveraged, not duplicated working with participants to strengthen their ability to coordinate their own supports to live their best life About you To be successful you must: possess a working knowledge of the NDIS (desirable) a commitment to best practice experience working in a team environment the ability to quickly and effectively engage recipients the ability to work with culturally and linguistically diverse communities & individuals Role requirements certificate IV in Mental Health or relevant qualification (desirable) a current minimum P1 "C" class Queensland driver’s licence a currently registered, roadworthy, and fully comprehensive insured vehicle current nationally recognised first aid and CPR certificates (ability to obtain) a Child Safety & Personal History Screening check (ability to obtain) a Positive Notice Working with Children (blue card) (ability to obtain) NDIS Worker Screening Clearance (ability to obtain) NDIS Worker Orientation Module 'Quality, Safety & You' About the offer The support coordinator is a parental leave coverage position based in Cairns.
