Work closely with senior engineers, senior designers and drafters to solve problems simply and collaboratively Contribute to climate‑resilient and community‑focused projects Learn how a multidisciplinary consultancy operates — with exposure to client communication, site investigations and design processes Work on projects that build your confidence and technical skills over time You’ll help deliver real community outcomes — supporting Queensland’s growing regions from Spring Mountain and Kinma Valley to the RNA Showground Stadium Upgrade. Ideal candidate Recent TAFE graduates or current TAFE students studying a Diploma of Civil Engineering or a Certificate in Engineering Drafting Available 3–4 days per week, with flexibility to balance work and study Some exposure to AutoCAD or similar drafting tools (basic is fine) Interest in civil drafting and/or design and a desire to keep learning Curious, proactive and ready to apply their learning in real project environments Comfortable asking questions and working as part of a team Interested in contributing to projects that make a genuine difference in communities Nice to have Familiarity with stormwater, sewer and water, roads or land development concepts Experience in producing civil design documentation packs How to apply Send us your CV and a short note about why this role and why Northrop If you have earned a diploma recently, please include your transcript with your CV.
