Some projects build experience. Hospital projects build careers. Our client is currently delivering five major hospital projects across Queensland, creating a rare opportunity for an Intermediate Electrical Engineer to gain exposure to some of the most technically complex buildings in the industry. If you’re early in your Electrical Engineering; Building Services career, the projects you work on in the next few years will shape the strength of your technical foundation for the rest of it. Hospitals demand deep thinking around electrical infrastructure, essential services, redundancy, coordination and compliance with strict standards. Being exposed to projects of this scale provides experience that many engineers spend years trying to gain. Once this current wave of healthcare investment across Queensland is complete, it will likely be many years before engineers have another opportunity to work on projects of this scale again. For the right Building Services Electrical Engineer, this is a rare window to accelerate your technical development. The Team Despite having one of the largest electrical teams in Brisbane, the structure is designed to keep things agile and supportive. Rather than one large hierarchy, the electrical team operates in three smaller groups made up of Associates, Seniors, Intermediates and Graduates. A tight team where you’re supported and mentored, while still collaborating across the broader electrical group. For intermediate engineers this means access to experienced mentors, real project responsibility and a clear pathway toward Senior and eventually Associate level. The Projects This is a genuine Building Services Electrical Engineering role working across a diverse portfolio including: • Major hospital projects across Queensland • Residential towers • Education and school developments • Corrections and justice facilities • Retail and mixed-use developments Engineers in this team work across the full electrical discipline including lighting, power, communications and security systems. That broader exposure helps intermediate engineers develop faster and become well-rounded building services electrical engineers. The Culture The leadership team are experienced engineers who remain hands-on and approachable. It’s a collaborative environment where developing engineers are supported and encouraged to grow. Flexibility is simple and practical. One day per week working from home is standard, and anything beyond that is simply a conversation. Most engineers still choose to spend time in the office because the team environment and collaboration are genuinely strong. While many firms from Melbourne, Sydney and New Zealand are only now starting to establish themselves in Brisbane, this business already has a strong local presence and an expanding pipeline of work.
