The Western Renewables Link is a proposed new 190 kilometre overhead high-voltage electricity transmission line that will carry renewable energy from Bulgana in western Victoria to Sydenham in Melbourne’s north-west. This critical infrastructure will unlock the renewable energy potential of western Victoria as a key Renewable Energy Zone and help deliver clean and affordable energy to all Victorians. Job Tasks and Responsibilities • 5 Years’ experience in Cost Controller positions. • Demonstrated good safety record and knowledge of Occupational Health & Safety. • National Police Clearance. • Proven experience in working with a high volume of projects >$20 million and above ideally with an understanding of Transmission Line Projects or similar. • Experience with Primavera P6. • Experienced in Microsoft Office Suite. • Proficient in Power BI, Power Query and Power Pivot (and SQL experience is preferred). • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including Experience in report writing and presentation skills to Senior Management. • Have the ability to work under pressure and time constraints. • Excellent time management and organisational skills. • Strong attention to detail Cost Controlling -Prepare all information and reporting requirements in a timely and accurate basis, ensuring a quality output within the guidelines of the project control processes and procedures. -Produce for Project Managers: - Project Budget Variation Reports -Project Cost Forecasts -Actual Cost Reports -Monthly Project Expenditure Reports -Produce for the Senior Leadership Team: - Project Actual versus Projected Costs Summary - Project Profit Estimate Report - Monthly Financial Statements outlining project progress - Reporting to the Project Manager’s as required: - Potential and actual impacts to the project cost budget, and - Cost Studies - Maintain and update project cost database for all project costs. Essential Skills / Qualifications • Experience in utilities and/or construction and/or resources industry. • Qualifications in Accounting or similar.
