This is an exciting opportunity for a high performing Collections Specialist with experience in financial services recoveries who is ready to manage complex accounts, negotiate practical solutions and contribute to a high performing Operations team. About the Role As a Late Stage Collections Specialist, you will manage your own portfolio of commercial recoveries cases, taking accountability from initial contact through to resolution. You’ll work in a fast paced, supportive team environment where resilience, problem solving and strong negotiation skills are valued. You’ll liaise with customers and third parties, assess hardship applications, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, all while maintaining a strong customer centric approach. What You’ll Be Doing Managing a late stage recoveries portfolio end-to-end Making high volume inbound and outbound calls Negotiating payment arrangements and settlements Skip tracing to re establish customer contact Assessing and responding to financial hardship applications Liaising with third parties including field agents and solicitors Ensuring compliance with ASIC, ACCC, Privacy Act and internal policies Contributing to individual and team KPIs Supporting broader team objectives and ad hoc operational tasks What We’re Looking For 1 years’ experience in financial services collections (secured or unsecured) Proven experience in late-stage collections and skip tracing Strong negotiation skills with the ability to manage objections confidently Resilient, persistent and solutions-focused mindset Strong attention to detail with analytical and investigative capability Ability to prioritise, multitask and work in a fast-paced environment Confident communicator who builds rapport easily Salesforce experience (desirable but not essential) Litigation experience highly regarded Why OnDeck Named one of Australia’s Top 5 Employers (under 100 employees) for multiple years running, OnDeck is one of Australia’s largest locally owned online small business lenders.
