Description We are seeking a motivated Health & Safety Graduate to join our WHS team on a 12-month contract and build a strong foundation in workplace health, safety, and risk management. This role is ideal for a recent graduate who is practical, detail-oriented, and keen to kick start a career in a fast-paced, operational environment. You will work closely with experienced Health & Safety professionals and operational leaders, gaining hands-on exposure across multiple sites and functions while supporting the delivery of a safe, compliant, and high-performing workplace. Key Responsibilities Support the implementation and continuous improvement of WHS systems, policies, and procedures Assist with hazard identification, risk assessments, and control implementation Participate in incident investigations, reporting, and corrective action tracking Support safety training, inductions, and toolbox talks Assist with WHS data analysis, reporting, and dashboard preparation Ensure compliance with WHS legislation, codes of practice, and internal standards Work with leaders and employees to promote a positive safety culture About You Recently completed (or near completion of) a university degree or an advanced diploma Strong interest in operational safety and risk management Some understanding of WHS legislation and principles (or willingness to learn quickly) Strong attention to detail with the ability to analyse data and identify trends Confident communicator who can engage with a diverse workforce Comfortable working in site-based and office environments The following would be great but not essential to apply for the role: Degree or advanced diploma in Work Health & Safety, Occupational Health & Safety, Safety Science, or a related discipline Previous WHS-related experience (internships, placements, casual or volunteer roles) Exposure to incident management systems or safety reporting tools Logistics, shipping or operational industry exposure What We Offer Practical, hands-on WHS experience Exposure to real operational safety challenges Career development pathways in Health & Safety Exposure to logistics, shipping and operational environments Supportive team culture focused on learning and continuous improvement Skills And Experiences An inclusive workplace, works for everyone We celebrate difference.
