An excellent opportunity exists for a suitably qualified and highly motivated individual or highly motivated individual willing to be trained in all aspects of the role to join the REX Engineering team as a full-time Trades Assistant, located in Adelaide, SA. Reporting: This position reports to the Line Maintenance Supervisor. Position Responsibilities: Ensuring all work performed by them is to the highest standard and in accordance with the appropriate approved data. Perform facility, tooling and asset maintenance & cleaning as required. Assorted workplace housekeeping and ad-hoc duties as directed by the Workshop Supervisor. Assist Logistics Department with Stores duties. Test & Tag of Electrical Appliance through the facility. For aircraft in maintenance and operations, carry out exterior and interior cleaning as required. Assist Aircraft Maintenance Engineers in aircraft and component maintenance and refurbishment as required. Mandatory Requirements: Be able to hold an Aviation Security Identity Card Full Australian working rights Pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test Valid Australian State driver’s license Key Selection Criteria: Proven self-starter with flexible attitude Demonstrated hand skills Demonstrated ability to work unsupervised Ability to follow instructions and work in a team environment Have a high level of attention to detail Working knowledge of OH&S procedures Desirable Criteria (training will be provided where necessary): Forklift license Trade experience Test & Tag Certificate Conditions: Wage rates and conditions apply as per the Regional Express Aircraft Engineers Agreement. This is a day worker role requiring 38 hours per week, Monday to Friday. The current salary is approximately $54000. The EBA is under negotiation and the salary is expected to rise to $58000 when the new agreement comes into effect.
