About the role The Senior Manager, Risk Advisory at Cbus plays a pivotal role in safeguarding the organisation’s operational integrity across Technology, Data and Cyber, Finance and People & Culture teams at Cbus. Reporting to the Head of Risk Advisory, Technology, Finance, People & Culture, this role provides strategic and fit-for-purpose risk and compliance advice to trustee and fund administration divisions. It ensures these areas operate within approved risk tolerances by overseeing risk registers, compliance plans and regulatory obligations particularly CPS234. The role also supports change initiatives, incident management and breach reporting, contributing to a robust compliance culture. Key Accountabilities Partner with the Head of Risk Advisory to drive strategies that embed a strong risk and compliance culture across Cbus, influencing senior leaders and stakeholders Provide timely, strategic risk and compliance advice, oversee risk registers and profiles and ensure business units operate within approved risk appetite and tolerance Build trusted relationships with business units, lead and guide team members and escalate issues to senior leadership when necessary Lead regulatory change initiatives, assess compliance breaches, manage incidents and ensure timely regulatory lodgements and responses Support the business when implementing change, providing risk and compliance challenge and oversight Deliver risk insights and reporting to divisional forums and board committees, supporting internal audits and monitor compliance plans and controls to meet prudential standards What will you bring? Experience in a similar Senior Risk & Compliance Advisory role in Superannuation, Financial Services, or related regulated industries with focus on Technology and Information Security Proven track record partnering with Technology, Data and Cyber teams to deliver effective risk and compliance programs Deep understanding of Financial Services Law and regulatory frameworks impacting superannuation Skilled in applying the three lines of accountability model using enterprise risk and compliance systems Strong stakeholder management skills to build trust and engagement Belong at Cbus We value difference, and embrace people with diverse backgrounds, experiences, gender identities, abilities and thinking styles.
