School cleaners play a vital role in the school community by reducing the spread of disease through high standards of cleaning practices and keeping the appearance of the school at a high standard. It is the responsibility of school cleaners to deliver a clean and hygienic learning environment for all students. About The School Talara Primary College is a large P-6 state school located in Currimundi on the Sunshine Coast. About The Role Responsibilities include: Cleaning windows, pictures, doorknobs, taps, sinks, drinking fountains, lavatory basins, glassware, glass doors and cupboards. Cleaning and sanitising toilet facilities and sick bays. Cleaning and maintaining equipment. Cobweb and mildew control, utilising extendable equipment as necessary. Cleaning of concrete, bitumen, asphalt and paved surfaces. Disposal of rubbish and litter control including removal of material from drains and gutters between and/or surrounding buildings.
