Position Summary We are seeking a qualified and experienced Telecommunications Network Engineer to jour team on a full-time basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, designing, implementing, and maintaining telecommunications networks, ensuring reliable connectivity and compliance with Australian industry standards. This role requires a motivated professional who can manage complex network projects, troubleshoot technical issues, and deliver high-quality solutions in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities ● Design, plan, and implement telecommunications networks including fibre optic, copper, wireless, and IP-based systems. Analyse network capacity, performance, and reliability to ensure optimal service delivery. ● Diagnose and resolve faults in network infrastructure using specialised diagnostic tools and software. ● Conduct routine maintenance, upgrades, and optimisation of network systems. ● Ensure compliance with Australian telecommunications standards, WHS regulations, and security protocols. ● Prepare and maintain accurate documentation including network diagrams, service records, and technical reports. ● Collaborate with IT, software, and project teams to integrate telecommunication networks with broader ICT infrastructure. ● Provide technical support and training to clients and internal staff on network systems. ● Monitor emerging technologies and recommend improvements for continuous network enhancement. Requirements ● Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related discipline (or equivalent recognised qualification). ● Minimum 3–5 years of relevant work experience in telecommunications network design and maintenance . ● Strong knowledge of fibre optic, copper, wireless, and IP-based communication networks. ● Experience with diagnostic tools, network monitoring software, and interpreting technical manuals. ● Solid understanding of Australian telecommunications standards, WHS regulations, and compliance requirements.
