Position: Painter Position Type: Full-Time Salary: $76,515 plus superannuation per annum Location: Gold Coast, QLD, 4212 Our client is seeking a Painter to join their team located in Gold Coast, QLD, 4212 Duties and Responsibilities: ·Set up access equipment such as scaffolding and ladders and install protective coverings to safeguard floors, furniture and surrounding areas during painting works. ·Prepare interior and exterior surfaces by removing existing paint or wall coverings, sanding surfaces, repairing timber elements, filling cracks and holes, and applying sealers or primers as required. ·Mix and prepare paints and coatings to the required colour, consistency and finish using appropriate pigments, thinners and additives. ·Apply paints, varnishes, stains and protective coatings to a variety of surfaces including walls, ceilings, timber, metal and other materials using brushes, rollers and spray equipment. ·Hang wallpaper and decorative wall coverings, ensuring correct pattern alignment and precise trimming for a professional finish. ·Inspect completed work to ensure quality standards are met and carry out touch-ups where necessary. ·Maintain painting tools and equipment and ensure work areas are kept clean, safe and organised. ·Perform minor maintenance tasks associated with painting work, including basic repairs to window frames and replacement of glass panes where required. Requirements: AQF Certificate III including at least two years of on-the-job training, or AQF Certificate IV Construction White Card Valid Driver Licence
