SAG Workforce is currently seeking an experienced Rigger / Dogman to join a major infrastructure project with one of our host employers. This role will be working closely with a Franna Crane Operator, assisting with the safe lifting and installation of mechanical infrastructure on a large utilities upgrade project. This is a great opportunity to work alongside a skilled site team delivering key mechanical installations within a major infrastructure environment. The Role As a Rigger / Dogman, you will be responsible for assisting crane operations and supporting mechanical installation works across the project. You will work closely with the Franna operator and mechanical fitters to safely move, position and install key plant components. The role will involve rigging, dogging and lifting activities associated with the installation of large mechanical assets and water control infrastructure. Immediate start available with works expected to run for approximately 5–6 weeks, with potential opportunities for extended work across the project. Key Responsibilities • Dogging and rigging for Franna crane operations • Assisting with lifts and placement of mechanical equipment • Supporting installation of penstocks and stopboards • Working closely with mechanical fitters during installation works • Communicating with crane operators to coordinate safe lifts • Ensuring all lifting activities are carried out safely and in line with site procedures • General site assistance where required Requirements • Dogging or Rigging High Risk Work Licence • Experience working with Franna cranes • Experience working on civil, utilities, or infrastructure projects • Construction White Card • Strong understanding of lifting procedures and site safety • Ability to work effectively within a team environment Additional tickets such as plant operating or HR licences will be highly regarded.
