About the Opportunity Join a dynamic company in Sydney CBD as their Systems Accountant! Lead the end-to-end implementation and optimization of ERP and BI systems while acting as the critical bridge between finance, technology, and operations. What makes this role special: Lead a major ERP and BI platform implementation from start to finish 6-month contract with genuine opportunity to transition to permanent Attractive package of $140k-$160k superannuation Flexible working with 1-2 days work from home per week Responsibilities As our Systems Accountant, you'll drive financial system transformation: Program Management - Oversee the full ERP and BI rollout from planning through to launch and stabilization Platform Configuration - Build system structures including accounting hierarchies, workflows, controls, and reporting frameworks Stakeholder Coordination - Partner with vendors and business teams to deliver project milestones on schedule Testing & Migration - Lead UAT, data conversion, system verification, and transition execution User Training - Drive adoption through training delivery, documentation, and change management Solution Design - Translate business requirements into technical specifications and functional designs Process Automation - Identify opportunities to streamline workflows and reduce manual intervention Financial Reporting - Develop dashboards and analytics to support commercial decision-making Data Integrity - Ensure accuracy of financial information across integrated systems Documentation - Maintain comprehensive system documentation and audit-ready procedures Skills Needed 3-5 years' experience in systems accounting, ERP implementation, or finance transformation Hands-on experience with ERP platforms (Microsoft Business Central, Oracle NetSuite, or similar) Strong Excel and reporting skills; Power BI experience highly regarded Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Information Systems (CPA/CA preferred) Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management abilities Project management skills with ability to manage competing priorities Next Steps If you're a systems-focused accountant ready to lead ERP transformation and drive business impact, this could be your ideal opportunity.
