This is your chance to learn valuable skills in truck driving or machine operation within the construction industry. You will be working at our vital Derwent Park and Bridgewater concrete plants, driving Agitator trucks and potentially being given the opportunity to operate forklifts and front-loaders. You will be trained by a dedicated Driver Trainer in the safe operation of Agitator Trucks, and you will be guided on how to deliver Boral’s concrete to our valued customers, whilst understanding that you will be at the heart of our production processes. This is an entry level role for individuals with a 'go getter' attitude and an eagerness to learn the trade and someone with a passion for the construction industry. This position will require someone that is open to working shift work and working early mornings. Your Day will involve: Conducting daily pre-checks on the vehicle and operating our agitator trucks in a safe manner Managing slump tolerance levels and the discharge of concrete (training provided) Delivering concrete to customer sites and partnering with clients effectively to maintain service Completing basic documentation associated with the collection and delivery of the concrete Communicating effectively with production and allocation staff regarding customer and project experiences What we are looking for? An enthusiastic, proactive individual eager to learn new skills in a fast paced environment Self-motivated with a strong commitment to safety and quality Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a team with minimal supervision Willingness to obtain a white card and a Heavy Rigid truck license.
