We’re now looking for an experienced Work Health & Safety Lead to provide visible, practical and strategic safety leadership across our marine and freshwater operations. The Role Reporting to the Head Safety & Wellbeing Manager, you will: Lead from the front — building strong relationships with operational leaders and teams to provide practical, high-quality WHS support. Manage and mentor a small team of influential WHS Advisors, ensuring alignment to business priorities and consistent safety outcomes. Lead thorough, timely incident investigations and drive accountability for corrective actions and risk controls. Oversee and coordinate risk assessments to proactively identify, control and mitigate operational hazards. Partner with operational stakeholders to embed a strong, accountable safety culture. Contribute to broader strategic safety initiatives across the business and share key learnings across sites. This role requires regular travel across Tasmania and periodic interstate travel to support our national footprint. About You You are a pragmatic, solutions-focused WHS professional who understands operational realities and thrives in complex, fast-paced environments. You will bring: Proven experience leading WHS initiatives within dynamic, high-risk operational environments. Strong leadership capability, with experience coaching and developing safety professionals. The ability to influence at all levels — from frontline teams to senior leaders. Confidence in conducting high-quality investigations and driving meaningful risk management outcomes. Tertiary qualifications in WHS (or equivalent). Lead Auditor qualifications and formal investigation training. A strong working knowledge of relevant WHS legislation and standards. A current, unrestricted driver’s licence.
