What you’ll be doing: Architecting & Scaling: Building and improving marketplace features and financial systems. AI-Augmented Development: Leveraging modern AI coding assistants to accelerate feature delivery, automate boilerplate, and enhance code quality while maintaining a "human-in-the-loop" approach to security and logic. Cross-functional Collaboration: Working closely with product managers, designers, and fellow engineers to deliver seamless customer-facing features. Financial Integrity: Developing and enhancing B2C experiences with a focus on reliability, security, and performance. Code Excellence: Collaborating with engineers across teams to ensure clean, scalable, and maintainable code. Continuous Improvement: Participating in technical discussions, code reviews, and initiatives to sharpen our engineering standards. Agile Growth: Operating in a fast-paced environment where priorities evolve and technical learning is constant. Experience required: 3 years of commercial experience in software development. Strong expertise in at least one modern back-end language (ideally Ruby, but not essential) Previous experience working within FinTech, accounting, payment processing, banking, or similar financial environments. Demonstrated experience using AI tools to assist in writing, debugging, and refactoring code. Full-stack capability, with solid JavaScript experience, is highly regarded. Comfortable working in a fast-moving, collaborative engineering environment. Exposure to AWS is beneficial but not essential.
