The opportunity: Join the Falls Creek Snow Operations team, and support the delivery of safe and well-maintained public facilities including roads, car parks, cross country trails, snow play areas and village access points. Deliver snow clearing and surface maintenance, maintaining safe and accessible public facilities across the resort. Operate and maintain plant and equipment, conducting pre-operational checks and completing operational logs as required. Grooming and winter trail maintenance for cross country areas and snow play areas. Apply established rules, processes, and standards to ensure compliance and operational efficiency in daily tasks. Install job site warning signs and follow safe working practices, ensuring all work is completed in accordance with regulations and permits. Report hazards, accidents, risks, or near miss incidents in line with OHS and risk management policies and procedures. Facilitate and maintain clean, hazard-free workplaces, including waste management and disposal activities. Provide guidance to less experienced team members, support teamwork, and communicate effectively with staff and stakeholders. Provide winter maintenance services, such as shovel snow and clear pathways, steps, and access points, to ensure safe movement for guests and staff. Undertake other duties and work activities as reasonably directed, demonstrating flexibility and collaboration across teams and locations. Key Selection Criteria Minimum 2 years operations experience including plant and machinery (e.g., snow cats) operating experience. Heavy Rigid licence (desirable) Experience driving in hazardous weather and alpine road conditions. Frontend Loader and Backhoe tickets. Excellent customer service, and a respectful attitude to diversity to internal and external customers. Experience operating machinery in built up areas. Ability to work in a remote, often harsh alpine environment. Ability to undertake manual labour. The successful candidate will be required to: Have full Australian working rights. Currently hold or be willing to obtain a Victorian Working with Children Check – Employee type Have a current, unrestricted Australian Driver’s Licence. Satisfactorily pass a police check and random drug & alcohol tests.
