TERMINAL OPERATOR TEMP TO PERM OPPORTUNITY SO NOT SUITED TO WHV OR STUDENT VISA HOLDERS FREMANTLE MON-FRI - 7.30-3.30PM $38 PER HOUR PLUS PENALTIES IMMEDIATE START Completion of all terminal activities for which a Work Instructions have been developed and included within the company Quality, Safety and Environmental Management Systems. These include: Loading and unloading of road tankers and isotainers. Loading and unloading of ships Decanting of product from tank to drums and pallicons. Transfer of product from tank to tank Cleaning of storage tanks and shipping lines Tank gauging including stock level calculations o Sampling of tanks, road tankers, isotainers and drums Participate in all shipping operations including: Co-operating with Port of Fremantle and ship security requirements Completion of Pre-ship checklist o Development and optimization of shipping plans Document and record of terminal activities as they relate to stock movements and control of shipping and truck movements Carry out routine repairs and maintenance. Monitor and maintain terminal equipment complete daily checklists Carry out routine laboratory analysis of vegetable oils and tallows including FFA, FAC, Lovibond colour, bleach and hot plate moisture tests. Cleaning and housekeeping within the terminal experienced in basic 5S procedures Conduct training including on-the job and direct training of new operators in line with Work Instructions. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS REQUIRED: Possess a Mechanical aptitude Experience in working in a mechanical based environment, with involvement in process improvement. Working with documented Work Instructions and Procedures. Working knowledge of Occupational Health & Safety legislation conduct and participate in risk assessments and issuing of safe work and confined space entry permit Forklift Licence Must be able to obtain a MSIC licence (Police Check) Problem solving skills Sound interpersonal, communication and English skills Computer literacy Excellent record for reliability, attendance and a 'can do' attitude. DESIRABLE Confined Space trained and working at heights trained Handling of bulk liquids including chemicals and hazardous products, including knowledge of pumping and piping systems and associated safety and environmental requirements.
