Position Overview We are seeking a skilled Network Engineer to design, implement, maintain, and optimise our network infrastructure supporting a secure, scalable SaaS platform. You will play a key role in ensuring system reliability, data security, and high availability across cloud and integrated environments, supporting real-time operations, mobile applications, and third-party integrations. Key Responsibilities Design, configure, and maintain secure network infrastructure across cloud and on-premise environments supporting SaaS applications. Monitor network performance, availability, and security, ensuring optimal uptime and system reliability. Analyse network traffic and performance metrics to identify bottlenecks and implement improvements. Implement and manage network security protocols, including firewalls, VPNs, encryption, and access controls to protect sensitive healthcare and participant data. Configure and maintain network hardware and systems, including routers, switches, load balancers, and cloud networking services. Support system integration with third-party platforms (e.g. accounting systems, communication tools, mobile applications). Troubleshoot and resolve network issues, outages, and connectivity problems in a timely manner. Develop and maintain network documentation, architecture diagrams, and operational procedures. Collaborate with software developers, system engineers, and internal stakeholders to support application deployment and infrastructure scaling. Implement disaster recovery, backup, and redundancy strategies to ensure business continuity. Monitor and maintain compliance with data security standards and Australian privacy requirements. Provide technical support and guidance to internal teams regarding network-related matters. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance system performance, scalability, and security. Qualifications & Experience Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Network Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience). Minimum 1 - 2 years of relevant experience in network engineering or infrastructure roles. Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, routing, switching, DNS, VPNs, and network security principles. Experience with cloud platforms (e.g. AWS, Azure, or similar). Familiarity with SaaS environments, system integrations, and API connectivity. Experience supporting secure, high-availability systems in regulated environments (desirable). Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Salary The role offers a remuneration package of $100,000 - $120,000 plus superannuation, based on a 38-hour working week.
