This decision followed an extensive exploration process that confirmed the merger will improve access to safe, high-quality, and sustainable health and community services across the Hume, Macedon Ranges, Mitchell, Murrindindi and Strathbogie local government areas. The new organisation will bring together the deep community connections, shared values and specialist expertise of both entities. Services will span general practice, allied health, disability support, mental health, early childhood, family services, aged care and community wellbeing, delivered from sites in Broadford, Kinglake, Kyneton, Romsey, Seymour, Sunbury and Wallan, with additional outreach into surrounding. About the Role The GP Admin Support Officer provides administrative support to the GP Services team, including the GPs and Practice Nurse teams. The role supports file management, invoicing, reporting, procurement and coordination of other compliance-related administrative tasks. The role will include but not limited to: Process incoming and outgoing GP patient file transfers Manage insurance and legal requests for medical reports, including liaison and invoicing Support freedom of information requests and subpoenas in collaboration with the Privacy Officer Assist with Medicare claim resubmissions and batching error corrections Manage purchase orders and invoice coding for clinical services Liaise with finance and service teams as required Support other administrative tasks as delegated by the Manager GP Services Assist with the management of GP leave Assist with GP and contractor onboarding To be successful in this role, you will have met the following selection criteria: Experience managing administrative tasks in a fast-paced setting Proficiency in Microsoft Office and database systems Ability to prioritise tasks and maintain confidentiality Understanding of clinical governance, health equity and safety standards as they apply in primary and oral health care, and a commitment to continuous improvement in service quality and outcomes Desirable Certificate IV or higher in Medical Administration Experience in community health, general practice or a clinical administration role Qualifications and Registration Thorough understanding of funding mechanisms (MBS, CHSP, CHPD, HACC) Advanced Microsoft Office skills Current CPR Certificate Current National Criminal History Check and Working with Children Check Current Victorian Driver’s Licence Benefits and Perks Our benefits enhance everyday wellbeing and encourage you to take time to make a difference in the community: Generous salary packaging and flexible working arrangements.
