We are a non-profit healthcare provider, offering evidence-based services across Queensland, New South Wales and South Australia, specialising in supporting people with alcohol and other drug use and dependency, mental health, and gambling concerns. Your Opportunity In this newly created role, you’ll strengthen organisational capability by designing and implementing people development strategies, tools and processes that support workforce effectiveness now and into the future. You’ll partner with leaders, People and Culture and teams across the organisation to ensure capability approaches are practical, aligned and embedded into everyday practice. You’ll lead the design, evolution and ongoing stewardship of our organisation-wide capability and workforce development approach, including work across: Developing and maintaining capability frameworks, models and tools that support role capability, skill development and professional growth Designing fit-for-purpose capability assessment methods (including multi-source feedback) and translating insights into evidence-based recommendations Designing and supporting development pathways, learning initiatives and OD interventions that strengthen individual, team and organisational effectiveness Embedding capability into core people processes (recruitment, onboarding, performance and development, leadership development and succession planning) and evaluating impact for continuous improvement In this full-time position you’ll join a curious team that thinks differently and seeks new ways. And when we reach “better”, we ask, “What’s next?” What we are looking for You’re an experienced organisational development practitioner who brings structure, curiosity and a practical approach to building workforce capability. You’ll be comfortable working across the organisation to influence, partner and deliver, using evidence and insights to shape development priorities while staying aligned to LLW’s values. You’ll also bring: A bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organisational Development or a related field Demonstrated relevant experience (minimum 2 years) in organisational development, capability/workforce development Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, engage stakeholders and deliver practical outcomes Experience designing and facilitating development initiatives (e.g., learning programs, pathways, OD interventions), Experience in confident presentation and facilitation skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build trust, influence and partner across teams Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to use data and qualitative insights to identify trends, risks and development priorities Comfort with HR/people systems and continuous improvement, along with strong attention to detail and a proactive, solutions-focused approach Postgraduate qualification desirable You will need to have a current Australian Driver Licence and be eligible for a clean National Police Check.
