Your Role As a Senior Inland Marine Underwriter, you will play a key role in driving profit, growth, and exceptional service for our clients. You will focus on producer and client relations and be instrumental in achieving department, branch, and corporate goals. Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities Achieve or exceed growth, profit, and new business targets for assigned brokers and products. Assess new and renewal business within delegated authority, applying appropriate endorsements and pricing. Consult with management on risks outside authority and monitor claims activity. Track underwriting results, premium, and loss trends. Develop and implement marketing and business development strategies to promote Chubb’s Inland Marine products. Provide technical underwriting and sales support to achieve local budgets. Support new product and distribution initiatives, including market research and evaluation. Maintain quality control and adherence to underwriting guidelines for assigned portfolios. Participate in broker reviews, prospecting, and joint travel with other underwriting teams. Visit producers and insureds to communicate department philosophy and increase market share. Deliver product presentations to enhance producer awareness. Maintain open communication with internal departments and address service issues. Negotiate commissions and assist with premium collection. Qualifications Your Skills & Experience Minimum 5 years’ experience in Inland Marine insurance, with a focus on Mobile Plant & Equipment. High degree of technical underwriting ability, especially for Mobile Plant & Equipment. Strong business development skills. Exceptional oral and written communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. Proven Inland Marine underwriting experience.
