THE ORGANISATION: This is a large, complex, frontline operational business where training quality has a direct impact on safety, performance and customer outcomes. Operating nationally in a highly regulated, safety-critical environment, the organisation relies heavily on effective frontline capability. Training is business-critical, but consistency and quality need lifting. This role exists to fix that. THE ROLE: Based either in Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane: This is a senior, hands-on Senior Training Manager role focused on execution, not theory. Reporting to the COO and leading a team of five, you will own the end-to-end training strategy across Australia. Your remit is to redesign induction and onboarding, embed practical competency frameworks, uplift trainer capability and ensure training translates into real operational improvement on the ground. You will work closely with site leaders, support major operational changes and new site launches, and ensure compliance with regulatory and safety requirements. THE CRITERIA: This role suits someone who thrives in complex, operational environments and is comfortable working on-site with frontline leaders. You will bring strong experience designing and implementing training frameworks end to end, ideally within compliance-heavy industries such as logistics, transport, industrial or utilities. You’re a pragmatic problem solver who can diagnose capability gaps, influence without authority, and focus on outcomes rather than learning theory. Leadership experience is essential, as is the ability to measure training effectiveness and link it to operational results.
