Job Description Manage end‑to‑end fortnightly payroll including starters, terminations and employee changes Maintain payroll systems and update all employee and pay details Process timesheets, leave and payroll adjustments with required approvals Finalise pay runs, lodge STP and reconcile variances Oversee payroll journals, cross‑charging and month‑/year‑end tasks Administer payroll tax, group tax, super payments and reporting Ensure compliance with legislation, EBAs, awards and internal policies Manage workers compensation reporting, claims and redundancy entitlements Prepare payroll reports for budgeting, forecasting and management insights Reconcile leave balances and oversee annual leave, LSL, TOIL and cash‑outs Conduct monthly wage reallocation and analysis Administer allowances, reimbursements, benefits and casual/relief payroll Provide timely payroll support across the organisation Maintain payroll software and support system improvements or rollouts Identify and implement payroll process improvements Lead and support one payroll team member Manage expense claims, accounts data entry and reconciliations Support internal and external audits Assist with general admin including fleet, travel, mobile and insurance documentation The Successful Applicant A successful Payroll Manager should have: Strong proficiency in Australian payroll systems and regulations. Experience in managing payroll operations within a similar industry. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy. Effective communication skills to liaise with internal and external stakeholders. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
