Lead the Front End Development for several client facing portals Long term, ongoing role with multiple extension options Top of the market daily rate Our client is currently on the lookout for a Lead React Developer to take ownership of front?end development across multiple external client facing portal. This role is ideal for a senior engineer who combines deep technical expertise with strong leadership capability and a passion for building high?quality, scalable applications. Key Responsibilities Lead the design, development, and optimisation of React?based applications. Define front?end architecture, coding standards, and best practices. Mentor and support a team of front?end developers, providing technical guidance and code reviews. Collaborate with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to deliver seamless, high?performing user experiences. Drive component reusability, performance improvements, and accessibility compliance. Oversee integration with APIs, microservices, and backend systems. Support CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and modern DevOps practices. Contribute to planning, estimation, and technical decision?making across the product lifecycle. Stay current with emerging front?end technologies and recommend improvements to the tech stack. Skills & Experience Extensive experience developing applications using React , TypeScript , and modern JavaScript (ES6). Strong understanding of state management (Redux, Zustand, Recoil, or similar). Experience with component libraries, design systems, and responsive UI development. Solid knowledge of RESTful APIs, GraphQL, and front?end integration patterns. Experience with testing frameworks (Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress). Strong understanding of performance optimisation, accessibility, and security best practices. Experience leading or mentoring development teams. Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Git workflows, and cloud?based environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
