As a Strategic Account Manager, you will oversee relationships with Vocus’s most important Wholesale customers, aligning their long‑term objectives with our portfolios. Reporting to the Head of Strategic Wholesale, this role does not have direct reports but plays a senior customer‑facing role and orchestrates internal resources to deliver value. The role requires regular attendance at industry events and will require some interstate travel. Key Responsibilities Set strategy for assigned customer accounts, including account planning, relationship building, and delivering on retention and growth objectives Develop long-term account strategies and plans that address client needs and identify upsell/cross-sell opportunities, driving continuous growth in each account Nurture relationships with key stakeholders in client organisations through regular business reviews and value-add engagements, ensuring high customer satisfaction and loyalty Own contract renewals for existing customers, proactively addressing risks and negotiating terms to secure on-time renewals and prevent churn Lead resolution of service/support escalations for accounts by working with operations/support teams, ensuring customer issues are promptly addressed and confidence is maintained. Skills & Experience Proven experience in key account management and strategic sales Experience in Wholesale is essential Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills Excellent relationship-building and communication abilities Data-driven mindset with strong analytical skills Ability to manage multiple accounts and priorities effectively Self-motivated, proactive, and results oriented.
