Navy Aviation System Program Office (NASPO) is offering the opportunity to be part of a team that ensures both the mission readiness and airworthiness of the Royal Australian Navy’s MH-60R Seahawk Romeo helicopter fleet and the safety of its aviators and aircraft maintenance staff through the conduct and delivery of RAN MH-60R program technical support services. Under direction of the team lead, you will use your technical domain knowledge and/or industry experience and provided on the job training and approved processes and data to deliver technical sustainment support services within required timeframes through: Assessment, prioritisation and actioning received technical information/requests. Communication of technical assessments and/or output documents to stakeholders. The US Navy (USN) is a partner and significant contributor to RAN MH-60R technical services via Foreign Military Sales (FMS) agreement. Successful applicants will be required to work with USN counterparts in relation to USN technical information deliverables used in support of technical assessments and other required work outputs. The current position available is for a MH-60R Airframes-Engines Technical Officer; however, suitable applicants from specialist fields better suited to other APS 5 Technical roles may be placed on a merit list and drawn upon if further APS 5 technical positions (not limited to airframes-engines) become available. About our Team The primary role of the Technical Engineering Services and Support Unit (TESSU), is the conduct of MH-60R Seahawk Romeo helicopter Military Type Certificate Holder (MTCH) functions and agreed MH-60R CAMO and MAO Technical Support Services. You may also provide ad-hoc technical support to rotary wing design activities and flight trials. The successful applicant will join a diverse team made up of APS, ADF, US Navy and contractors, all driven to ensure both the airworthiness and mission readiness of the RAN’s MH-60R Seahawk Romeo Helicopter fleet and the safety of its aviators and aircraft maintenance staff. This position will suit an aircraft technician, aircraft maintenance engineer or a technician with a compatible technical trade background and a proven ability to perform and achieve moderately complex technical work both individually and as part of a team.
