As the Deputy Principal - Special Education you will be an integral part of our leadership team, possessing a strong knowledge of legislation and policies that impact on schooling, particularly in the area of inclusive education and students with additional support needs. As a specialist in special education and differentiation, you will provide high level advice to the Executive Principal and Leadership team in accordance with legislative and departmental frameworks, and best practice initiatives. This temporary vacancy is open to Expressions of Interest and any extensions to this appointment will not exceed 12 months. About The Role Responsibilities include, but not limited to: Support the Principal to lead the school's Special Education Program (SEP) or Early Childhood Development Program (ECDP) in developing and implementing a shared educational vision focused on quality learning outcomes for all students, and deputise when required. Demonstrate ethical and values-based leadership by upholding the integrity of the deputy principal role and embedding socially just and inclusive practices in daily school life. Promote a culture of high expectations and continuous improvement by setting high standards for student and staff performance and actively engaging in lifelong learning and professional development. Build strong partnerships with parents, government agencies, community groups, industry and business to support the needs and success of students. Provide strategic leadership of the SEP/ECDP by understanding relevant legislation and policies, particularly those relating to students with disability, and effectively managing human, financial, facilities and curriculum resources to achieve program goals.
