Job Description YOUR ROLE Reporting to the Emergency Management Lead within the Governance and Legal directorate, you will play a key role in supporting MACS’ emergency management framework, ensuring schools are prepared, compliant and supported during emergencies and critical incidents. You will act as a central coordination point, working across schools and key internal functions to deliver effective emergency preparedness, response and recovery. This role requires strong operational awareness, stakeholder engagement capability, and the ability to operate in high-pressure environments. WHAT YOU WILL DO Support the delivery of MACS’ emergency management framework, including policies, procedures and business continuity plans. Act as a key contact for schools and emergency services during incidents. Assist in coordinating organisation-wide responses to emergencies and critical incidents. Support incident management meetings, debriefs and continuous improvement initiatives. Contribute to the development and delivery of training, exercises and educational resources. Prepare reports and briefings for senior leadership, Board Committees and the Board. Collaborate with internal teams including Health, Safety & Wellbeing, Infrastructure and Child Safety. Support on-call emergency management responsibilities as required. ABOUT YOU Relevant tertiary qualification in emergency management or equivalent experience. Demonstrated experience supporting emergency management or critical incident response in complex organisations. Understanding of Victoria’s Emergency Management Arrangements and VRQA requirements. Strong communication skills, including report writing and stakeholder engagement. Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage competing priorities. Experience in training delivery, policy development or emergency planning (desirable). AIIMS certification, Certificate IV in Training & Assessment, or experience with PowerBI/GRC systems (desirable). A strong commitment to child safety and the values of Catholic education.
