Versent is looking for a Customer Contracts & Billing Officer to support accurate, timely, and compliant customer contracting administration and billing. This role works closely with Finance, Sales, Delivery, and Account teams to keep contract data clean, billing schedules on track, invoices raised correctly, and queries resolved quickly. What you will be doing Create, update, and maintain customer contract records, including key commercial terms and billing triggers. Ensure contract artefacts are complete and stored correctly (signed contracts, SOWs, POs, variations, rate cards). Coordinate internal approvals and contract set-up requirements with stakeholders. Maintain customer master data, including billing contacts, PO details, invoice delivery preferences, and tax treatment. Raise invoices in line with contract terms and delivery evidence across a mix of revenue types (time and materials, fixed price/milestones, subscriptions, managed services, retainers). Validate invoice inputs (timesheets, WIP, milestone sign-off, pricing, coding, tax). Prepare credit notes, rebills, and billing adjustments with appropriate approvals. Support month-end billing activities including cut-off, reconciliations, and accrual coordination. Act as a key point of contact for billing queries and resolve issues across teams. Maintain audit-ready records, follow controls, and help improve processes, templates, and checklists. Support system and process changes (including data clean-up and testing as needed). What success looks like Contract and billing data is accurate, complete, and up to date. Invoices are raised on time and match contract terms and supporting documentation. Billing issues are identified early and resolved with clear ownership and updates. Audit-ready documentation is consistently maintained. Strong working relationships are built across internal teams and customers. What we are looking for Experience in billing operations, contract administration, accounts receivable support, or a similar finance/shared services role. Strong attention to detail and confidence working with contracts and billing schedules. Confident communicator who can coordinate across multiple stakeholders. Strong Excel skills and ability to reconcile data. Ability to manage competing deadlines and work calmly through ambiguity. Understanding of GST/tax invoices and core finance concepts (revenue, WIP, accruals, cut-off).
