About the Role Reporting to the Director, Indigenous Policy and Programs, the Cultural Strategic Coordinator plays a key role in supporting and advancing the organisation’s Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander and Māori Strategy. This role works across the organisation to help operationalise strategic commitments, coordinate meaningful consultation with community and stakeholders, and support culturally safe practices, projects, and engagement. This is a hands-on, relationship-focused role suited to someone who is confident working across teams, managing projects, and supporting culturally informed policy and program work. Key Responsibilities Support the implementation of the organisation’s strategic plan, with a focus on Indigenous policy and programs Coordinate consultations and engagement with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander and Māori community leaders, organisations, and stakeholders Assist with major projects, tracking progress, documentation, and reporting Support internal communications, cultural learning initiatives, events, and yarning circles Organise and facilitate workshops, education sessions, and culturally safe spaces across the organisation What We’re Looking For Demonstrated experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander (and ideally Māori) stakeholders Understanding of medical education systems or complex policy environments (highly regarded) Strong written and verbal communication skills, particularly for policy and briefing work Excellent planning, coordination, and organisational skills Confidence working autonomously while contributing to high-performing teams Willingness to travel interstate and work flexibly when required Apply now or contact Broni Crear at Shine People Solutions for a confidential discussion.
