About the role The Park Performance and Evaluation Manager provides leadership and coordination in establishing, implementing and maintaining Parks Victoria's systems, frameworks and processes for monitoring, evaluating, and reporting on the management of Victoria's parks and reserves. The role supports evidence-based planning and decision-making by coordinating assessments of park values, management outcomes, and performance reporting. Reporting to the Manager - Management Effectiveness, the position leads the delivery and continuous improvement of monitoring, evaluation and reporting activities that inform park planning, conservation priorities and operational decision-making. Working collaboratively with regional and specialist teams, the role ensures that data collection, analysis and reporting are consistent, reliable, and aligned with Parks Victoria's strategic goals and performance standards. It provides expert advice, tools and processes that strengthen organisational capability in management effectiveness monitoring and evaluation. About the Team The Strategy, Planning and Programs Division comprises key centres of expertise that support the place-based management and operations in parks, reserves, and designated local ports and waterways within Parks Victoria's diverse estate. The Division brings together multidisciplinary teams that design and/or deliver priority statewide programs and services, and that collect and interpret data and information, provide expert direction and advice, develop fit for purpose strategies, frameworks, policies and procedures; and provide hands-on support that act as guardrails for Parks Victoria to efficiently and effectively deliver on-ground services that ensure parks are open and accessible for visitors to enjoy, while protecting natural and cultural values. We're looking for someone with: Demonstrated experience in leading or coordinating monitoring, evaluation or management effectiveness programs in natural resource management Relevant tertiary qualifications in environmental science, conservation, natural resource management, project management or a related field is essential Understanding of conservation science, ecological monitoring and evaluation methods relevant to park or natural resource management Knowledge of program evaluation, data analysis and reporting Understanding of project delivery, budgeting and financial management for small to medium-scale programs Strong skills in applying scientific and operational information to improve management outcomes Your application will need to include: A Current Resume A Cover Letter Application Close date: Sunday, 29 March 2026 Sound like you?
